Behind the Scenes

Bay Path – What If?

This was a fun one… complex… but fun!

We shot in SEVEN different locations for this 30 second spot. We also created a 60 second version for them as well… It’s always nice to be able to create longer versions when we capture THAT much great content. It’s perfect for social media.

Desmond

It’s not often we are able to find time to create cool videos for ourselves, we plan to do MUCH more of that moving forward. And this is a great example of why. The Desmond video is our most watched, liked and shared video on social media to date.

Chris was intrigued by this street dancer and felt compelled to make a badass video featuring him.

We made a plan to have him come into the studio and that was about the extent of pre-production on that! Chris set up a really cool shot, blacked out with some dramatic spot lighting. We gave him the stage and he opened up and shared more than we expected. It was courageous of him and we really respected that.

We went on to have him dance in front of the green screen. This allowed for us to put Desmond into the worlds he might imagine he’s dancing in rather than just out on the street.

It was fun to just open the creative flood gates and let art take it’s course.

Studio

We were so excited to make the move into our new space! We had a large video production studio in Chicopee and an office with a beautiful view downtown Springfield…. but we really needed to combine the two and call one place home.

We found our new studio right over the bridge in West Springfield on Memorial Avenue. It is perfect for in-house video productions and video editing sessions. We have a giant green screen, large back drops and a beautiful edit bay. We encourage our clients to come take a look around and are more than welcome to come sit in on a video editing session.

We put a lot of love into our new home as we do all of our work. Come check it out!

Develop Springfield

We had the opportunity to create a series of videos for Develop Springfield. This allowed us to dive into all of the development and redevelopment projects they are working on throughout the city of Springfield. It’s always a pleasure to sit down with the Mayor and talk about our hometown and what the future holds.

Here’s a shot Chris’ green screen interview with Mayor Sarno on the production set.

Bay Path Empowerment TV Spots

This Baypath spot was super powerful, and one of our most talked about TV commercials yet.

We created four distinctly different scenes in one location, the Baypath campus.

Our crew worked hard to accomplish everything we needed in just one day of production.

We even had to deal with losing our talent for the “mother of two” just days prior to shooting. We filled the role with our own family and got the job done. We’ll do whatever it takes, that’s dedicated video production!

Baystate Health TV Commercial

Our production for Baystate Hospital kept us on our toes as some of the equipment didn’t work as planned. But that’s when having a crew of true professionals comes into play. We had a vision and put our heads together to make it come to life no matter what.

The commercial highlights three Baystate cancer patients as a slow reveal showcases each of them being able to continue with their favorite activities as they go through treatment at Baystate, close to home.

We created four television spots. One long 60 second version as well as three 30 second spots.

Here are some of our sets yesterday for the Baystate Health TV commercials. Photos by Bryana Lucas.

Logan Airport with Five Star

All Footage_3

We had a great time filming at Logan Airport for a Five Star Building Corp video we are creating.

For this job we had to be very fast and mobile. For the most part, we lit the scenes with two LED panels on battery packs and had someone hold them instead of setting up light stands. We also used two cameras. One was set up on a Glidecam and the other was used for handheld work. This way we could move very quickly. One of the hardest things in production is to not only get beautiful shots, but get them very quickly. It takes years of experience to do both well.

We were escorted by Massachusetts State Troopers the whole day. It made it easier for us to travel throughout the airport and go to restricted areas with ease. A bonus…I didn’t have to take off my shoes!
